As immigrants originally from Madagascar, Josia and Tiako know firsthand the struggles of families, especially artisans, who labor to create exquisite pieces of art, yet often remain unseen and unheard.
In 2012, their dream took root. Their vision was to not only help people in Madagascar but to spread the warmth and artistry of handcrafted products worldwide. They didn’t just want to be middlemen; they wanted to connect cultures, bridging the gap between those who create and those who appreciate craftsmanship.
From in Lake Stevens, they set out to bring together handicraft lovers and artisans from all corners of the world. Initially they started looking for products that celebrated the local cultures and traditions of Madagascar, selecting each item with care and thoughtfulness. But JT’s Collection didn’t stop at curating beautiful products; they ventured into designing their own pieces, collaborating closely with the artisans. We believe it’s a journey of co-creation, where the hearts and hands of artisans are infused into every thread and fiber of their handcrafted items.
Their range expanded to include hats, bags, home decor, mineral stones, and backpacks – each brings the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Madagascar and other parts of the world.
